lexico-grammatical feature

For example, as it used in the text A the more difficult one ,
- and drying climate meant that by BC, the Sahara region was BECOMING
increasingly dry and hostile.

-World Cups. South Africa hosted the World Cup tournament, BECOMING
the first African country to do so.

- ence from France. Ghana followed suit the next year March , BECOMING
the first of the sub Saharan colonies to be freed.

For the verb becoming it always use afterwards an adverb or a noun phrase.
I can use concordance and lexico grammatical feature to show my students
the keywords how often they used and the surroundings of a word
within this I believe the learners will learn many words in the way
 how they use.

  1. Also, in the last two examples, we see the use of the present participle to introduce an adjective clause, e.g.:

Ghana followed suit the next year March, [when it became] the first of the sub Saharan colonies to be freed.

    TO

Ghana followed suit the next year March, BECOMING the first of the sub Saharan colonies to be freed.
